The Saul Bass Series is an extension of the Subway Ceramics collection designed to authentically express the uniquely American Mid-Century Modern movement.
This series reintroduces three distinctive relief patterns inspired by the celebrated American designer Saul Bass. These patterns were originally produced for the “Distinguished Designer Series” manufactured by Pomona Tile in the late 1950’s. These versatile bas-relief tile patterns are intended to be used as fields, creating a uniquely tactile surface suitable for any wall tile application.
Bring authenticity to your MCM designs with Heritage Tile!
Inspired by the bright, saturated color palette of Fiestaware, and the softer hues found in Formica’s “boomerang” countertops, this glaze palette is produced in a low-luster satin finish for understated elegance.
These historic glazes can be applied to all tile forms in the Subway Ceramics collection, giving you the option to coordinate across multiple spaces and applications.
Installed with pencil-thin grout lines, the Saul Bass Series is the perfect choice for a shower wall, tub surround, or kitchen backsplash in your mid-century period home.
Celebrate your home's original character with the historically authentic Saul Bass series, exclusively from Subway Ceramics by Heritage Tile. With Heritage, you can reproduce your architectural style in a tile design that accurately reflects each period aesthetic from Arts & Crafts to Mid-Century Modern.
